1. General information
Private houses:
All our houses are privately owned and therefore vary in style and furnishing according to the taste of the individual owners. Please do not forget that you are a guest of the Icelandic family who owns your house.
NO SMOKING! Please note that smoking is not allowed in any of the Viator summer houses.
Basic facilities:
All houses are equipped with a kitchen, sitting room, bedroom(s), heating, a shower and a WC. In the houses you will also find blankets/duvets and pillows. Please note that no bedlinen is in the house.
Costs for energy:
The use of water, electricity and gas are included in the price.
Costs for laundry:
Bed linen, towels, a dishcloth and a cleaning cloth are not included in the price. We offer a package which includes:
- Bed linen for one person
- 2 small towels
- 2 big towels
- 1 dishcloth
- 1 cloth for cleaning
Price per person € 25,-
When choosing a rental car, please remember that the bed linen requires space (size about 30cm x 30cm x 30cm).
IT IS NOT PERMITTED TO STAY IN OUR HOUSES WITHOUT BED LINEN. If you do not intend to rent a package from us, please bring your own from abroad.
Final cleaning:
The cleaning of the house at the end of your stay is NOT included in the price. The owner provides all cleaning material, and you will find this in the house. You are responsible for cleaning the house thoroughly before you leave. It can be very expensive for you if we have to hire a professional cleaning team to clean the house (minimum € 300). Please inform us immediately on arrival if the house does not fulfill your expectations or has not been properly cleaned.
2. Arrival day and seasons
Arrival day:
Minimum stay is 3 nights (Thu-Sun) or 4 nights (Sun-Thu). Arrival and departure days are Thursdays and Sundays. The house is at your disposal from 15:00 on the day of arrival until 12:00 on the day of departure.

3. Picking up and dropping off your keys and bed linen
Pick up:
Viator has two service stations in Iceland. There you can pick up your keys and the bed linen (if you have ordered). Please note that you have to show a credit card when you pick up the keys and bed linen. The credit card will be used to pay all extra costs which might occur during your stay. This also includes costs caused by your breaking our agreement (insufficient cleaning, not returning bed linen etc.) You will receive all the keys at the same time if you have booked more than 1 house.
Please note that it is necessary to inform us of your exact dates of arrival and departure, as well as flight/ferry number, before you arrive in Iceland.
Drop off:
You must return the bed linen to one of our service stations before leaving the country. Otherwise you will be charged extra for the pick up by Viator.

Directions to the Viator Service Center in Alex Tourist Center Keflavík
You leave the car rental area at the airport in Keflavík and drive towards Reykjavík. After driving 2,6km you make a left turn and after 300m you make another left turn to Alex Tourist Center and Motel. At the Motel reception you get your list of Pin Codes and your bag of linen. Next to the reception you will find the container for used linen for return.

The Service Center is located at the corner of Midás and Fagradalsbraut at the beginning of road nr. 92 to Reydarfjördur / Nordfjördur / Fáskrúdsfjördur.
Payment:
You must pay for your summer house with a credit card (Visa or Eurocard/Mastercard).
